DuneNovels: “We protect the LEGACY! Fuck the spelling!”

I guess I should just go ahead and make a special “DuneNovels Twitter Fuck-ups” category here, seeing how they keep on coming!

OK, let’s be honest, this one was obviously a conscious choice. The reasoning probably went something like this…

Damn! The quote’s not going to fit! Shit, what do I do now?! … I could cut it off at “tribes” … but it’s so much cooler with “powers of violence” at the end… Damn. Oh! OK, I’ll just leave out that little ‘i’ in “demigoddess”! Yeah, that’ll work, and maybe no one will notice! Um… OK… Tweet!

Yeah… no one noticed! GOOD JOB!

‘Cause at DuneNovels and the HLP, “protecting the legacy” of Frank Herbert is all about enforcing the copyright and milking ole bossie. Spelling is incidental, one of the expendables!

I’d really love to know who’s doing these things. Is it Kim “I’m nice but can’t spell to save my life!” Herbert or Byron “I’m so fucking tired from my ER RN shift I can’t see straight” Merritt? We may never know.

“Demgoddess” sounds like she should be a character drawn by the late Jack Kirby and spouting dialogue written by Stan Lee.

It sounds like they decided to jump on the new age bandwagon instead of protecting anything.
“Lets throw some eclectic stuff in there and everybody will love us for it!” – a comment from the Herbert family meeting with K.J.A.
